Get Involved

Has WFU Kamp Kenwood been influential in your or a loved one's life? Are you interested in joining the team and getting more involved. There are so many ways that we can use your help to keep moving into the future.

First and foremost maintain membership in Wisconsin Farmers Union. By being a member you'll stay up on the latest events and opportunities to volunteer at Kamp Kenwood.

Hands-on volunteers are needed for a variety of projects at Kenwood, and contribute immeasurably to our commitment to Wisconsin Farmers Union. There are opportunities to help carry out the summer program, maintain the facilities, tackle special projects, and to support programs throughout the year. If you are interested and/or would like more information, please call Brad at 715.214.7244 or email.

Some of the other ways you can help include the following:

Grounds Maintenance:
Keeping up with the camp program is a major task for our staff throughout the summer. Volunteers who enjoy working outside can greatly assist by helping maintain the landscaping a few hours each month. (8 to 10 hours per month, May-October)

Skilled Labor:
WFU Kamp Kenwood also needs the gifts of people who are skilled in handy work like light plumbing, electrical, carpentry, and cement work.  (4-8 hours per month, September-May)

Clean-up (Fall Frolic):
After serving nearly 500 campers throughout the summer, we have some work to do prior to starting our next season. Over the fall months several projects that include grounds work, and light repairs are needed. Great volunteer opportunity for all ages!

Cooperative Summer Camp Program
Farmers Union's camp program has provided safe, well-rounded, recreational/educational summer camps for kids since the 1930s. Focused on cooperative philosophy and leadership skills, these four- and five-day overnight camps also feature swimming, sports, drama, music, art, hiking and campfire programs.

Sponsored in part by the CHS Foundation and Wisconsin Farmers Union, these camps provide a great opportunity for young people from rural and urban areas alike to come together to meet new friends, learn about cooperation and leadership, and HAVE FUN!

Cooperative Day Camp Program
The Wisconsin Farmers Union Cooperative Day Camp Program brings the fun and learning of the WFU camp program to your local community. Sponsored by your county/local Farmers Union organization and/or a local cooperative or credit union, Day Camps are a great way to meet new friends, have fun while working together, and learn more about the importance of family farmers and strong communities in our world.
