The long wet winter will subside leaving firewood to stack and picnic tables to paint. Join us early for coffee and breakfast as we begin our work for the day.

involved. There are so many ways that we can use your help to keep moving into
Coordinators are needed to volunteer for the following positions.
Will direct planting of flowers and shrubs to improve the aesthetics of our camp. Examples – placing plants along the signs at our camp, painting the benches and tables in use.
Will identify improvements for to the indoor spaces including the youth cabins and the staff cabin. Example – new curtains for windows, painting walls, improving usefulness/aesthetics of our restrooms (shelving/hooks and pictures)
Will help make improvements to stabilize docks and establish access points to the water. Will also help coordinate dock placement and removal. Help map the location of fishing access points and trails along the waterfront.
Will help cut and split trees on our 23 acres for burning in our fireplaces and at our outdoor fire pits. Maintain the structure of our four fire pits including rock placement around the rings.
These coordinator positions can be one or two year commitments depending on your interest. Resources and materials such as plants and fabric, and wood splitting tools will be provided by Wisconsin Farmers Union. The coordinator will work under the direction of the facilities manager who will help identify additional volunteers to assist with projects.
Cooperative Summer Camp Program
Farmers Union's camp program has provided safe, well-rounded, recreational/educational summer camps for kids since the 1930s. Focused on cooperative philosophy and leadership skills, these four- and five-day overnight camps also feature swimming, sports, drama, music, art, hiking and campfire programs.
Sponsored in part by the CHS Foundation and Wisconsin Farmers Union, these camps provide a great opportunity for young people from rural and urban areas alike to come together to meet new friends, learn about cooperation and leadership, and HAVE FUN!Cooperative Day Camp Program
